This is what I have to say:
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
There are much better opportunities for you out there. Those drums have been ruined.

I love restoring old drums (especially Rogers) but $1000! I have sold completely restored and wrapped kits for that, new collets, edges, the lot. I think in the USA that's $200 surely?
I am selling my Rogers kit for $1000! So there you have it. Honestly way too many great Rogers kits for $1000 or just under out there.
Why buy someone else's headaches. Save up your money and buy a nice no excuses kit that you really want.
There's probably a way for this to make sense - if the deal included a dozen swan-leg Swivo stands, of if "import cymbals" meant a pile of 602's or a 20" old K. But since it's probably exactly what it sounds like, a beat-up pile of rewrap heartbreak plus some worthwhile hardware, I'd also pass. Maybe $300 if he's a really nice guy.
If it's $1k firm, dude needs to stop hitting the pipe because crack is really bad for you.
Thanks everyone for the input. I'm wasn't in love with these. No
way would I pay the thousand for these. Rogers drums are hard to
find in Northwest Ohio, where I live. I'll keep looking. Wish I could
attend the Chicago show this month, but can't. These were 25 miles
from where I live. If anyone wants to see these, go to Craigslist
for Toledo, Ohio. Drums are in Tiffin, O. I'm always leary of
buying something sight unseen. Liked the WMP set that one of
you brought up. Thanks.
