This is all very interesting. Michael Derossier with Heart did have some North toms as add-ons to his kit. I specifically recall the white Ludwig kit with white North toms ti the side. There were several drummers that adopted them as add-ons. Look at the cover of Jackson Brown's "Running On Empty" album for an example. Certainly a unique sound.

This particular kit has an interesting tequila sunrise look now that it is faded.
