His death has me feeling weird. I was never a huge fan of his music, but come on, Lou Reed doesn't die, he's indestructible right? Just like Johnny Cash. Larger than life types. Sad to get older and realize these great musicians are no longer with us. I put into the bad-ass category

Lennon

Cash

Reed

Richards

Jagger

Iggy Pop

Steven Tyler

I enjoyed Metallica playing Sweet Jane with Lou Reed at the RRHOF show on HBO. It was pretty cool.

As far as musician's of that caliber still alive and cranking out the hits, don't forget about Rush and Iron Maiden. Two bands that can still fill an arena after multiple decades. Not many can.........

Up the Irons!!!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I remember hearing "take a walk on the wild side" when i was a little kid in the early/mid 1980s. I had no idea at that time what the song was about, but I always sung along and thought it was one of the coolest songs ever!

We still have David Gilmour, Clapton, Winwood, Walsh, and dad'gum Willie Nelson!!

...i think ill cry the day David Gilmour dies! if there was one person i could meet...
