GlennI have them both outfitted with 60's original heads and tuned the same. I cannot hear enough difference in sound to even say that there is a difference.Mike

That's a beauty, Mike. Congratulations on a great looking and sounding kit. It's got me wondering about the subtle - or not so subtle - differences between a 18x14 and 18x12 bass drum.

The OCD in me will most likely continue to look for more matching '67 drums strictly on the back burner. I'm real happy with these though.
