Ludwig 18" Bass drum. Green Sparkle Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hey everyone,

I have decided to sell my 18x14 Ludwig bass drum. This thing has been a long time project.

I got this drum from a friend about 4 years ago and have been working on it for some time. When I got it it was in bad shape. It started its life as a 1970's 18x14 until someone decided to try to turn it into a slingerland. It had a terrible rewrap job, 4 ludwig legs, two tom mounts and was re-drilled to fit Slingerland lugs and a fake Slingerland badge.

I took the drum to The Drum Barn and had Derek Cooper professionally rebuild it. He did a great job! All the holes were filled and new wood was put in the tom mount holes. He re-drilled it to fit Straight legs and a 4 hole rail mount (not included). The wrap is NOS green sparkle. I love the look of the 1960's Ludwig drums so I had him paint the interior white. This also helps to hide the extensive work that had to be done. It needs to be drilled for a badge hole. I wasn't sure which to use so i left it w/o a hole.

The drum now looks and sounds great. Heads are a little snug but again, it sounds great. Anyone interested? PM me! Thanks!!

Will consider interesting trades as well :)Thanks!

Looks like it still has Slingerland T-handles, and after-market spurs... is the rail mount Ludwig?

What are you looking for?

Not sure what I'd do with it, though...
