Absolutely NO RE-WRAPPING HERE!! white marine pearl man they are beautiful! with the wrap the way it is inside the scarf of the shells, you will destroy the value literally 70% not counting the wrap cost! so in other words after you spend the money to wrap and have them wrapped. you'll be paying yourself to loose money eventually on the resale down the road, on top of doing damage to the shells to do so!! Please leave them Original, or sale them to someone who has the color kit you want! also your snare drum is the Super sensitive model

Yeah, don't rewrap those. Just sell/trade them for a set of silver sparkle drums.

I never Looked at it that way, I guess I can Live with the fade because its the same all over, you probably could'nt tell if you had never seen WMP new. When I get time I'll post some of my Ludwig Snare drums as well. In addition to the 5x14" Super Classic with the P-87 that isnt pictured, I have an LM410 (in the picture) an LM411, LB417 tuned low with die cast hoops, LB419 tuned high and tight, a 1970s 5x14" Mahogany Stain Pioneer with the p-85 and a 1966 10x14", 10 Long Lug, Parade or Drum Corp type snare with a P-87 and individually adjustable Snare wires, great Ballad snare. This is my 1st time Owning Ludwig drums other than snare drums. I've always liked Slingerland Drum Sets/kits and Ludwig Snare Drums. Well I definately will leave them the way they are... Now all I have to do is find a Silver Sparkle Set that is in the same size range and condition... Thanks a million for your advice...

Man those make mine look old. They are seriously nice! I love a WMP kit, and yours is the Ludwig chip type, mine is the random pattern bubble type...

Okay, two things: First, don't re-wrap. I know it's already been said, but you need to keep hearing it; those drums look perfect.

Second, what are the serial numbers on your drums. I don't have all info at hand, but I'd guess they are pre-serial numbers, with mahogany interiors & the diamond tom mount. Please check, or let us know how you dated them.

Those are my 'dream drums'--mahogany shelled WMP Ludwigs. I wish I had a set of SS to trade you. How about some Sky Blue Pearls?.....marko

Since you seem like such a... ya know... nice guy, I'll make you a deal. I'll get you a brand new set of Hyena Drums. New mind you, not this old used crud. Yup, just the kinda guy I am... A brand new kit of Hyena's for that old nasty beat up thing. You know, Hyena Drums are made of the finest material. New high tensile single screw WTW lugs (Wish They Worked) and the shells are chiseled out of the finest twisted grain Sugar Plumb weasel wood you can find.
