Blue/Silver Duco

Chrome on rims, strainer and butt is very nice

Lugs have some pitting texture but the chrome is not flaking

Shell has some soft ply de-lamination inside, some of which has been re-glued. But it is pretty solid now.

Fairly new Evans G1 on top, Remo A snare side.

Vintage 12 strand wires.

Some of the rim clips are not original but a spot-on match.

Sounds fantastic.

definitely blue on the 6.5 pioneer? I must be going color blind. doesn't it look black in the pics or is it just me?

Hey Mike. Definitely Dark Blue on the Pioneer. I'll get some better photos tonight -- camera and lighting is making it look a bit darker than it is to the eye.

WOW,. that sling looks similar to the one my dad had back in the day as seen in this photo doesn't it?

I think my dad had Ludwigs here, however the finish looks like yours

Slingerland -- The duco does look at lot like your dad's kit!

Mike -- (and others) Here are more photos with daylight. You can see the Pioneer is a very dark blue (pictured with a 45 for black reference). About the same as the darkest part of the Slingerland fade, maybe a hair darker, but not black. I have a black lacquer bass and floor tom, and this is not that. Kind of an unusual color, but but all original from what I can tell.
