No hatred my friend from Oz.Like Mike said, you just may have stumped us.
I guess to obtain the exact info you seek, you would have to have a Ludwig catalog from that year,or an 80's Yamaha catalog.
He did have his own signature model which were hickory and made by Yamaha. There are some images online if you search for them
To me they look very much like 1 S street(marching) sticks.Very thick with a ball (round ) tip, although they appear to be a little shorter.I'd have to say close to 3/4 of an inch in thickness.
I don't know what model of sticks he played with Ludwig, but they were equally thick as well, but I don't recall him having a signature model while he was a Ludwig endorcer.
I saw him with Jeff Beck in the 70's and those were very thick sticks, and had to be 2B's or heavier, certainly nothing close to a 7B which is much thinner.
You could do an Ebay search,as his signature model sticks come up for sale from time to time.Cheers mate.

Not at all buddy. Like Mike and others said possibly no one here knows but Steve B posted some very good info for you! :) Those sounds like some tree trunk sticks he used.
Ta mates!, i don't have either a Ludwig catalog or Yamaha catalog! :(.I do know that Manos Woods made his sticks in either the late 70s or early 80s as it's mentioned ion Paiste profiles 3.I'll do a fee/prey bay search under Çozy Powell" as far as his stick's concerned.Does anyone know if on this site if there's a reference /listing under indentification (specifically Ludwig) if someone's scanned &put on here there sticks?.

I didn't want you to feel despised or hated so I dug a bit, but couldn't seem to find much helpful info. They're not really my gauge of sticks either. I could make a pair from each stick!
There you go.Somewhat like the old Pro Mark 808's.but on steroids.
I actually sill have 2 pair of those oak 808's from the late 70's although there is some slight chipping in the tips.
They were a Billy Cobham signature stick at the time.
