Ludwig Acrolite Last viewed: 8 hours ago

I have a chance to buy this Acrolite with the case for $100, I know the picture isn't that good, but it has some rust on the hoops. Does this look like a good deal?

Looks like it might still have original heads and wires too. That's usually a sign of one that hasn't had too much play. Pretty good deal from what I see.

$100 is average retail for a decent Acrolite.

I did have one, but I sold it. The one I had was really clean and I managed to get $150. This one has some rust on the hoops and the pictures aren't that good, I'm go take a look at it today or tmrw. I figure even if it's a bit dirty it can be cleaned and it comes with a nice hard case.

I bought one 2 years ago for the same price and it included the "half round" suitcase type case,

with red velour interior !.. It had original reso head and snare wires, but they were beyond use..

Mine is stamped April '71.. I'm never selling mine, as i made that mistake 12 years ago..

Well, whoever this seller is, doesn't seem to care too much about getting it sold. I told them I would take it and they said they would get back with me about where to meet. That was yesterday, I've texted them several times today with no response. I don't know why people list items to sell and then don't show any effort on getting them sold.

I also saw a few kits I was interested in at good prices, I texted the sellers and they tell me the drums had been sold.... then take down the darn add!DOH

Going through that right now with a non vintage kit. Found a posting for a Sonor Safari Bop kit for $125.. I see good reviews for it as a practice and small gig kit, so I figured "hey, why not." The guy answers one or two text messages with vague replies... Ain't nobody got time for that!!!
