So...I just picked up a 6.5x14 1950 Ludwig & Ludwig Deluxe snare in pretty decent shape! It's dirty, missing the extension on the butt plate side and the complete strainer (which would be the controlled response extension strainer) and there are a couple of tiny extra holes, but other than that, it looks very nice! It also came with a Leedy concert tom (from 1945, I think) and a Apollo 16" floor tom in WMP finish. I'd be willing to sell the Apollo floor tom is anyone is interested. I'm also on the lookout for the strainer and butt extension if anyone has them.

Cool find. Try contacting Mike Curotto. He's the only person I can thick that might have that strainer or know where to find one.

Thanks for the tip, Dolfan...good idea! I'm also going to hit up the Pro Drum Shop in Hollywood within a week or two, so maybe they have one.
