hey guys how are yall doin?

here is my latest find. i dont know much about it. i know there is no badge, but on the rim, it is engraved Ludwig & Ludwig. It is NOB and the rims are steel and painted black. the drum is a 6 lug drum, i am not a big an of that, but i am sure it will sound good. there is a big vent hole on the side that has a threaded style thing inside. i will post a picture of it. if any one know anything about this snare could you please let me know.

the rim looks to be from the 1900-1920

I think you're about right on era. I never saw black factory painted rims on ludwigs. The hole with threads sounds like a spot for a heater ( to keep heads tight).

I think LVL has it right. The NOS hoops rust and the nickel flakes off so someone painted them black...not a bad idea. (1922 catalog photo)

i have no intentions of selling it anytime soon, but i was just wndering if i made a bad a buy. i imagine its worth at least $200.00
