Not sure if you can see the pic or not, but the arch works really well, I kinda love it!

I got one from Interstate Music for $99. I used it on a "virgin" 60's Ludwig (14x18) and I really liked the way it worked. The only downside is the whole thing is pretty heavy and the mounts that replace the lugs are a bit bulky (may require a bigger case). That's a small price to pay for having the convenience of a rail without drilling any holes into a classic drum.

Seems like alot of weight for the hoop to handle without some type of problem-warping/cracking,etc.Any track record over time on these mounts, and has anyone looked into this?

Nothing attaches to any hoops. These mounts replace lugs in the shell so there is no more pressure involved than a regular rail would put upon the shell itself.

Thanks K.O.-very slick idea for certain and looks very heavy duty.

There's a set of red glass glitter Classic Maples set up at Dale's in Hbg. PA with this hardware on it. I think they had a ride and 2 crashes all mounted to the drums. Only cymbal stand is for the hats. Real clean set up. Here're some tom mounts.http://www.ludwig-drums.com/atlas/accessories_scissorlift.php

Believe it or else!
