Ludwig bass drum logo heads? Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Loading...

So does anyone sell an actual "vintage style" logo head that doesnt have the "USA" imprinted underneath it? I ordered and received one from ruppsdrums.com and I guess I went by the stock image because I really thought they offered two different styles.

Where can I find the vintage style head, or do I just have to scrounge for an original somewhere? Or did I not look hard enough? ;)

The nice thing about the reproduction logos is that they are die cut vinyl which is much better than what Ludwig actually produced in the 70's which was simply a sticker with a clear backing that will eventually yellow.

Bodo10 sells quite a few and I have never had anything but good experiences with him. In fact, I have three logos on the way now.

+1 on Bodo10. I have his Slingerland logos on three out of four of my kits. The Phantom is next once I get over having a yellowed old-school original on there.

Yeah, someone else I was talking to made mention of that... It actually doesn't look as bad as I was expecting it to.
