i don't know what year, but as for the curved spurs, it has to be around 2000.

for the "rocker style" spurs that came on high end and mid level drums by ludwig, these came on as early as 1997, which i believe is when ludwig first started using them. i ordered my then new kit from my old boss who worked for ludwig, and there were many changes on the kits that year.

those spurs were also sold by gibraltar and used by indie drum co's probibly since they first came out. these always came with gaskets. see pic.

Hi

Thanks for that.....

I should have clarified though.....

I mean the Luddy 1/2" curved spurs....for 6 ply drums....

I have some n.mint ones here....and they have Ludwig 1/8" thick rubber gaskets on them.....never seen that before.......

looking at the 88 and 94 catalogs, they don't show gaskets on the curved spurs. but they do on the "rocker" spur.

the earliest i know of for the curved spurs was 2000. that's because i put them on some of the ludwig loaner kits (as well as other pts) that were sent out for gigs, shows, rehearsals and photo shoots.

but hey, i could be wrong.
