Ludwig Black Beauty???? Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Some one is selling this snare drum that looks to me like a Ludwig Black Beauty but the serial # (819118) which puts it as an early 70's and from what I've read they didn't start reissueing these until 1977. Would love to hear anyones opinion!

Yea man watch out for this. So many of these drums are so badly pitted that people are sanding and painting them because it costs too much to replate them.

When you look closely at the pictures you see a pretty sad drum.:(

I argee with all thats been said. That drum is not a BB,so I'm curious as to who is selling this drum, and are they representing it as a BB.Could you post a link to the seller? If this guy is purposely commiting fraud,we should all know who he is.

I just found it: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-1969-Superafonic-Snare-Drum-/260833121307?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item3cbadd941b It's now a "Superafonic", I guess that's different than a Supraphonic.

Same guy is also selling this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Snare-Drum-14-x-5-/260833134860?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cbaddc90c What do you make of that??
