Ludwig black oyster pearl Jazz Fest Last viewed: 34 minutes ago

More details on this drum can be found in the thread "Is this Anything?" of January 30, 2016. http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=54358

Baseball bat muffler with white felt, Keystone badge 400339, 18-strand snare wires, P83 strainer, and white interior paint. Not representing this as pristine—wrap is in good shape, some chrome parts have mild rust—but a few commenters on the other thread have opined that it should clean up very nicely.

$875. Includes:

• Ludwig WeatherMaster snare head that came with the drum. New Evans coated G1 and clear Snare Side 200 heads have been mounted, unplayed except for a few finger taps.

• New Protection Racket bag.

• Fully insured shipping to the continental United States.

• PayPal fee (no "gift" option for everyone's protection).

For interested buyers in the vicinity of Huntington Beach, California, I'm willing to discuss a lowered cash price for pickup. No trades, please. I'm selling this on behalf of the owner, who wouldn't be interested.

Here are a few photos. More are on the other thread.

That's not the way things are going. I'm completely aware that I undervalued this.

Could have gone to eBay, but I wanted to be done with this as soon as possible. By way of explanation for those who didn't look at the other post, this was a found item that I was selling on behalf of the owner, who is cutting me in for a nice chunk. He's a guitarist and was perfectly willing to keep it as a spare snare for his studio kit, so any funds raised are gravy for both of us (and I foresee a small donation to VDF from my end).

This is just one of those lucky finds—for my friend, who discovered this in a trash heap, and for Surface, who was in the right place at the right time (and who may have gotten a deal, but still paid more than I did for each of my Slingerland 50N kits).
