no re-rings, riveted wrap seam and the badge/vent IS in the wrong place.
As for the B/O "pointy" badge, it WAS used on the 6-ply (no re-rings) shells of the mid-to-late 70s, but was replaced by the B/O "rounded corner" badge of the late 70s.
As for the rivets on the seams, that did occur in the late 70s on Ludwig's 6-ply shell. I hated it, but they didn't ask for my opinion... :)
I really can't speak to the placement of the badge on a 9x13, but that IS common badge placement on a marching drum.

That's what I get for browsing out of my era. Still much to learn. Always appreciate the expertise here at VDF - thanks for the responses.
I had a chrome over wood riveted 6 ply kit with the badges in the same place,the plies looked like all maple,can't be sure if they were,and the drums were heavy as hell,I mean like Sonor heavy.
