Would tell them that the strainer is not original and get them to come down a bit as well...good score!Nevin
Strainer looks original to me.........
On my all original sharp cornered badge 70 model, it doesn't have the later P-80 strainer that you can tighten the wires with two small tension rods....unless I am seeing something different....which my eyes are are not exactly perfect like they use to be :)
On second thought, my eyes are not deceiving me...the strainer of this era is incorrect as they didn't produce a strainer that would accept a plastic strip. Mine has the 12 hole.

Well I can return it if I am not happy but I think it's easy to swap out a strainer! The sales guy said no extra holes so I will find out this Thursday if that is the case. Anyway I got it for much less than what others have paid and from my research there are at least two aftermarket options that direct bolt in.
surface has it right as far as I can see. The period correct strainer (P-84) had 12 holes and couldn't have taken a plastic strip.
The trainer might be quite nice. It might be the current equivalent Ludwig one (appears in this eBay ad if you scroll down)

It can be replaced if it doesn't please you.
