Ludwig Bonham Kit Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hey Gents...there is an authentic Bonham size kit that I am looking at for top dollar, of course. My concern.....the gentlemen selling the kit states that it is from the 70's. The serial numbers do not show that. They are 2088153(bass) 2054063, 1940257, 2094400. The kit has B/O pointy badges. From what I understood the 201xxxx is the highest number sequence for 1979. After that I would assume a higher serial number would mean it is from the early 80's. The one floor tom 1940257, shows that it is from the late 70's.........what the heck is going on here!? I am forever confused...please help:confused:

If it's the Blue sparkle set I think it is over priced by $1500.00, IMHO. Coffee Break2

Is this the Kit?

In my opinion, I think his feedback theory is reversed.....

The seller is asking for the buyer's feedback before he gives his seller's feedback??

Might be just me, I dunno.........

Yes that is the kit. You see gentlemen.....this is why I love this forum. I can admit that I am learning everyday and had no idea whatsoever that a Ludwig kit could be made this way.......and I mean no idea, especially of the detailed info Mr. VintageMore provided. I didn't realize Ludwig did this or this type of manufacturing if will was done. Another unanswered question though, is........is this kit from the 70's? With serial numbers at 208xxxx, is this not an early 80's? I thought 201xxxx was the highest number that ended in 1979? DOH

If the kit has the rivets I would imagine it was made some time in the early 80's

That's old school ebaying- the fact that a seller can't give negative feedback makes it (for me) the only recourse against negative scores is no feedback what so ever.

When I sell, I won't give feedback until I receive feedback from the buyer. That's just me...

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!
