Ludwig Burgundy Sparkle Last viewed: 28 minutes ago

Just started a new project today. 1968 Sparkling Burgundy pearl Ludwigs. Looks like I will be "fondling" these old tubs for a while. I will post pics as they get "tweeked in". I also have a hoop tree in my back yard. :)

Love burgundy sparkle, one of my favorite finishes. Rare and valuable, especially those keystone kits. The interior white paint is factory, Tom. That's probably some really nice 3-ply maple shells under the paint. Going to be a great sounding kit for you. Congrats on a great buy!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

I will gladly take those tubs off your hands.

Nice score, but you should have bought those champagne sparkles instead.

Hey thanks! I have been working on them every day since I brought them home. The shells are all divorced from their hardware and I have them all polished up. The chrome hoops are done, l have half of the lugs cleaned / polished. By this weekend, I hope to have all the lugs completed and the base drum hoops sanded and repainted. If the sun is shining tomorrow, I will take the shells outside and get a few pics. The wrap on the bass drum has a few tom rash spots on it, buy overall the wrap came out great. More pics to come.
