Ludwig Club Date: Champagne w/ Nickel Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Loading...

Hey all- as promised here are some pics of the champagne sparkle club date I picked up last week. Overall its a realllyyyyy clean kit and the nickel hardware is in great shape.. The kit was originally purchased as a snare, rack, bass configuration in '63 w/ 7,3XX serial numbers. The floor tom was added a few years later by the original owner (serial: 230,XXX). I don't have the snare as of yet, but I'm hoping to snag it in a few weeks when I get the $.. This is my first kit with nickel hardware. What is the best way to keep it shinning? Is there a good polish out there I should be aware of? Enjoy the pics!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Is there anything more appealing than a vintage Club Date?

Even looking at the inside with the white interiors gives me a rush.

You did well on those. Enjoy!

Thanks guys!! Mlayton, I am definitely going to invest in some cape cod polishing cloths.

Friday was a good day.. these were delivered and then I found an aqua marine sparkle Trixon Luxus that I couldn't pass up (behind the cd in one of the pics)..

Those are super sweet! Mister Layton is spot-on; Cape Cod cloths and nickel anything are a winning combination.

Enjoy your new/old tubbies...

John

Too many great drums to list here!
