People can fake a patina look, it`s easy, but, you can`t scratch that stuff off under your fingernail and say ....yup, that`s real patina.

These drums are often fabricated and or faked because they are very sought after. $$$$

I would clean your drum with the heads off using only 3-in-one oil in a cup, a 2 inch paint brush and rags to wipe it clean. nothing else. Just enough to dampen it , get in all those tight spots and wipe it off.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
