Ludwig deal or not Last viewed: 15 seconds ago
Red is a complete Clubdate from 60's, Oyster Pearl (can't recognise if black or blue) from 70's, still lokks like 3-ply, supraphonic snare shell looks 70's to me.
This blue floor tom I don't know...
Few hoops and rods to be supplied, 900$ sounds a fair price call. All depends on interiors and bearing edges condition.
On red bass drum resonant head is installed as batter.

Hmmm...
Could be worth it, but you could also end up with a pile of sorry shells in bad shape. I'd ask for more photos, and measurements of those cymbals as well.

Definitely ask for more pics. The club date kit looks like it will need a bass hoop and t-rods. Looks like the toms will need bottom rims and tension rods. Looks like there is some Ludwig Bowling Ball Black concert toms and bass drum. If Supra is from that period, (B/O badge), then it is most likely aluminum and not brass (brass supras are fairly rare). It might be pitted to death but it will sound great. Not sure about the make on the blue floor tom.
The club date might clean up really nice. It's hard to say with the photos. The other thing I'd check is the interior color of the club date drums. Since the bottom hoops are removed and the Bowling Ball bass is painted black, a fella back then might have painted the Club Date interiors black cause back then it looked, "cool". Too bad these folks can't be tracked down and do some kind of community service or something.
Good luck.

Are you close enough to just get in the car and go look? MY experience is, most every time the drums are worse in real life than in the pictures. Could be a great deal, what are the cymbals? And aslo keep in mind the missing parts, try and get a dollar amount on what it would cost to get them and use that number to negotiate the 900 figure. But very hard to buy anything without seeing it in person unless you are buying from someone you know and trust. Good luck, could be a great score!

$900 is much to high, looks like you need a lot of parts to complete that kit, go take a look if you can but dont go over $500.
I agree with Jeff and Lucky... and I'd only go $500.00 if the cymbals are good.
Lots of restoration potential here it seems, but I have to agree with the others that $900 is a bit much for a pile of projects. That said, I'd be all over a pile of projects! Go out and look at them and decide what they're worth from there. JC is right on the money - they always look better in pictures than in real life. Please keep us posted... I'd love to see those clubbies all cleaned up and restored Cool1
