Hello, I'm about to purchase this. Could someone please confirm that this is an orignal 60's ludwig throne?

Looks to be a Ludwig Porto-seat.

The throne Ringo never used (sorry...these are often sold as a "Ringo Throne")

These are cool, vintage thrones--very compact, & easy to carry. It might be a good idea to make a padded cover for it--the padding was never much to begin with, & most have broken down over time. Some really dense foam with a fabric or vinyl cover that tied on or used elastic would be nice........marko

cool I already picked it up!

I'm restoring my 1965 Ludwig Drumset in Champagne Sparkle. I already got a nice 1964 Ludwig Supraphonic and 60's zildjan hihats and ride

Thank you

Yes. I had one just like it in the '60's which I had purchased new. It was uncomfortable even then when I had a much smaller butt at 16. It's missing the rubber feet, but other than that, what's your concern?

Don't know why. Mine predated the Beatles becoming famous. I must have gotten it around 1962.

Ringo should have had one like this. It would have been the perfect height too as he sat up pretty high...

Looks completely original to me. Used mine for over ten years - the rivets that attach the two thin legs are its only weakness. I was 170 - 180 lbs then and eventually, one rivet had to be pushed back into place after every song.
