No, it's not a re-wrap, the wrap goes into the ply of the shell and has the infamous Ludwig hump, only Ludwig used this method. The toms and kick have the extra holes that were plugged up, you can clearly see them in the video.
This is definitely a players kit, but for the price, it's a great looking and sounding kit.
