Hey all, should there be a spring over the carriage bolt at the snare basket? Mine does not have one and I have to keep an eye on it as the thumb screw wants to loosen. Seems like there should be one there.
If so, does anyone have a spare I could buy? Or is this just a simple hardware store fix?

According to the parts catalog I have, there does not appear to be a spring in there at all......
Thanks Ludwig-dude. I guess mine is correct. It just seems like it would work better if it had a small spring. Maybe I'll try one out anyway.
I haven't seen a spring on one either. Certainly not a bad idea though.
