Soooooooooo........I finally decided to try the Novus 2 polish that everyone's been speaking so highly of on this forum and elswhere.

I decided to bring out my Ludwig Sky Blue Pearl kit (my first) that my dad bought for me back when I was 11. Man, I'm feeling old right now!LoLoLoLo

I'm very satisifed with the results and would recommend the Novus to those of you who haven't yet tried it.Clapping Happy2

While I was polishing the floor tom that came with the kit I noticed that the configuration of the leg mounts on this particular drum differ from those on my other vintage Ludwig floor toms. I've attached a pic of the drum itself as well as the mount for you to see.

Can anyone tell me what years Ludwig used this particular configuration on its floor toms? I'm sure that once my copy of Rob Cook's "The Ludwig Book" arrives I won't be bothering you with all of my silly questions. I've got just about all the other publications but somehow managed to miss out on this one.

oldschool, you'll love the book but it was 1961 they replaced within about one year later with the 5/16" eyebolt!!
