I am getting ready to list these kits on ebay but wanted to offer them to you guys first.

SOLD!The first is a newer Maple Classic from 2006 in Bonham plus sizes. I say Bonham plus because the bass drum appears to be 16x26. These are finished in Green Sparkle and are in great shape. A couple of tiny dings here and there. A solid 9/10. I know these will sell for about $1499 on ebay, but I would prefer to sell here for $1200. Yep. $1200.

SOLD! Five piece Ludwig Standard kit in red mist. Judging by completed listings, I will get around $800. I will sell it to one of the VDF members for $699.

Five piece Slingerland in Blue Sparkle. 20, 12, 13, 16 and 5x14 snare in great shape. These drums sound amazing. $649

A 57/58 Slingerland Swing Session ensemble kit for $699. Includes paper thin zildjian hi-hats and splash.

SOLD!! Late 70's, early 80's Gretsch USA in Black Nitron. The tom mounting hardware has been removed from the bass drum and tom. 24, 14 and 18 floor tom. These simply sing!!! Ebay sold listings indicate around $675. I'll sell them for $550.

I will ship these but it would have to make sense. I live in the St. Louis area and will drive up to three hours to meet someone. So if you are within six hours of St. Louis, lets make a road trip out of this. Also, feel free to make an offer for all of them, or more than one. I am in a very good spot with these drums and do not need to sell, but the wife and I have decided to finish the basement and I promised I would get down to five kits.

Hi Vern,

I was just looking at your collection, and wanted to say , the green sparkle maple classic are great, but being a Slingy guy, I love the blue sparkle, had one question,what year are these? Just wanted to drop a line and wish you good luck on your sale. Wish it were me, they are nice..

The Slingerlands are from the early 70's. I would gues 70-71

Gretsch kit sold. C'mon guys. These really are great prices. The Blue Sparkle Slingies are in fantastic shape. I'll throw another kit into the mix here. A 57/58 Slingerland Swing Session ensemble catalog kit for $699. Hell, I'll combine the two for $1300. The Zildjian splash and 11 inch hi-hats come with the kit. I enjoy selling almost as much as buying!!!

Hi Vern,

Can't get over the blue sparkle Slingerlands. They are beautiful. Have a few more questions. You stated these are 70-71, are they Modern Solo 2R?, or Rocker 50N. Also, does any hardware come with these?

I am really wanting sparkle orange pearl, but these are pretty.

I think it is a non catalog kit. All original with no mods. No stands though.

Good point. I meant the exact style kit right down to the finish as the one in the catalog.

Wow, if I had lived in the USA, I would have bought any one of those kits!

Pretty much a clean sweep of classic drum kits!
