Robyn...that hi hat stand is VERY collectable. The atlas stand, with the self leveling feet, was only made for a very short period of time. They sell for more that a few bucks to collectors.

[Attachment: 66142]Think these will go good with the 66/68 Hollywoods? got the hh stand and sn stand from uncle alan. ? about the hh stand....what purpose is the round white thingamajig at the bottom? it seems like it don't really do anything besides turn.

The thingamajig,...Floats the pedal. Hold the pedal down, turn the knob, then let go. It should rise and then bounce up and down till it stops. This prevents the footboard from topping up and making that click sound. Adjust it so it don`t top up, and will close the hats before bottoming out.

Oh, Remove the top hat before doing. (or you could just loosen the clutch a lot).

You could do the same and also adjust the travel time of the beater using the two screws at the bottom under the speed king posts.

Thanks steve, i thought they were pretty collectable. Kinda thought this hardware would "fit in" good with the hollywoods.

The SK in the pic is set all the way back. (longest travel time) I got mine set half that distance. Your foot wont move much and fatigues less.

When you step off the pedal, does your SK go all the way back and stop ? It shouldn`t, it should have bounce to it. You`re taking the speed out of the Speed King !i
