Hi! Is it possible to say, which of the 3 hoops are original Ludwig? I am trying to fit my 1970s Vista 13" Tom with original hoops.

Hoop 1 and 2 were on the drum when i bought it. They both look the same to me, but one of them is a little heavier though. Hoop number 3 i still had in the cupboard, and it was said to be original 1970s Luddy when i got it. looks the same as well..... Hmmmm

Maybe the heavier one is cob. Do the magnet test.

sorry forgot to mention... they are all COS!

Or is the weight just another Ludwig anomaly?

I have to go by the feel test. I have a hard time discerning what make the hoop authentic. I have many authentic hoops vrs some MIJs and they can be almost identical.
