So I picked up that lot of drums from my buddy the other day. In the mix was what I thought was a complete but mismatched Ludwig Rocker kit. Bass drum I knew was a rocker off the bat. Has the black / white badge, rocker lugs and the modern bass drum spurs ( not the curved ) The floor tom is a white concert tom, also had the rocker lugs but has the Blue / Olive badge. The 12" was unwrapped and has the grey interior. Looking through spare parts I found almost enough rocker lugs for another tom, I assumed the 12". Well I got to them today and I was off. The bass drum is most certainly a Rocker. Needs rims, tension rods, claws but otherwise complete. The floor tom I realized originally had the large classic lugs and had been drilled for floor tom legs. I think it originally had a L-arm ( as opposed to the clip mount ) and then the 12". Seems the hole spacing is for mini classic lugs, not the rocker lugs.
I plugged the extra holes on the 16" and found the right mount in the bin of parts.
I'm not sure if I should get all three clean and sell them off as individuals. Or do I convert it to a complete kit. Thankfully the large classic lugs and rockers have the same spacing, so I can make the floor tom match. But do I trade the 12" for another with the right hole spacing, I don't want to drill into it. It's a solid shell with no extra holes, just been unwrapped. I'll post a few photos later tonight.
