Hi Folks,
Orig. owner of a 1997 Ludwig Monroe 5.5x14 with African Satinwood finish. Numbered #688 Wm. F. Ludwig oval badge plus Lg. keystone badge. Finish is dimpled- or pitting. If you run your hands over the clear laquer it feels the same way a hoop that is starting pitting feels. There are also lines in the finish. The drum was stored in the box with plastic and that blown insulation that was used for its original shipping. I tried cleaning it, but you can still feel the tiny pin head bumps. My question is- can this be cleaned up & how much is this drum worth now?--Chrome is excellent. The drum was played in the studio 5x and was stored most of its life......took a photo- but you cannot see it...appreciate the help!
