Hey everyone,
This is a "sequel thread" on my thread that I posted a week ago about
"my first vintage Ludwig kit".
I do this so I finally know what is real (Ludwig 3-ply) and what is
fake (Tama imperialstar) of the drum kit which I bought.
When I finally know what's Ludwig and what's not. I can sell the Tama drums and keep the drums which are certainly Ludwig drums that I bought.
So I'm sure that the drums that I'm selling (for a cheap price) are not Ludwig 3-ply drums (that would be very sad!).
The drum kit exists of a 6" and 8"(concert toms), 12", 13", 14",
15"(sky blue pearl finish), 16", 18", 26".
6": 1009636, B/O badge, granitone interior, re-rings (3-ply?), clip mount
8": 1009645, B/O badge, granitone interior, re-rings (3-ply?), clip mount
12": no serial number, B/O badge in the middle (Tama"flying T badge"?), clear interior, no re-rings, clip mount (converted concert tom?).
13": B/O badge, granitone interior, re-rings (3-ply?), Tama mounting brackets, Tama "one touch" mufflers, (converted concert tom?)
14": B/O badge, granitone interior, re-rings (3-ply?), Tama mounting brackets, Tama "one touch" mufflers
15": 1067220 (sky blue pearl wrap), B/O badge, granitone interior,
re-rings (3-ply?), strange muffler (only one screw hole of the muffler is used inside the drum, maybe the original muffler was lost?), clip mount.
16": I think this one is fake, B/O badge, clear interior, no re-rings, hole in middle of drum (extra vent hole? Tama"flying T badge"?)
18": B/O badge, granitone interior, re-rings (3-ply?)
26": B/O badge, granitone interior, re-rings (3-ply?), 5/16 bass drum spurs
The snare drum doesn't interest me.
I have seen pictures on the internet of vintage tama drums with also some kind of granitone painted interiors or is that a different kind of paint?
