Once again checking to see if anyone has a 60's, chrome, p-83 front piece (only) around they'd sell me. Have an 80s model on my Standard snare, but would love to have the full original.

if youre talking about the ludwig standard snares from 68-71 or so, many of those(especially the latter) had a cool p83 that has a block logo on the bottom instead of the script logo like on most 60's p83 models. have you seen these?

Hadn't actually realized that. But I just looked it up. Very cool! But I'm guessing that translates into hard to find...
Unless someone has one of those block letter versions by chance, I'd settle for chrome with the script logo...

ive seen a few of those too on early 70's supras but not many. a buddy of mine had one. i'll keep an eye out for you. i agree though that the script version would be fine and easier to find.
