Ludwig pre serial COB snare Last viewed: 14 minutes ago

I recently acquired this snare, and when I took it apart to restore it, two of the imperial lugs weren't period correct.

A big thanks to blairndrums, who was willing to sell me the only period correct imperial lug he had.

I'm still looking for one more!

Here's a few pics. The lug in the last pic, is period correct.

First class all the way!!!, the original imperials are a bugger to find aren't they?

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Yes, a bugger to find, and when you do find one they're pricey. Now I have a few extra, if anyone needs help with a restoration.

Goes for me too! I have two(2) 1965 Ludalloy Supra's that are so mint that some my drummer friends think they are brass shells because of thier condition, but they're not.

Wow.......that turned out NICE.......

Only thing I would do different would be to spin the Ludwig logo(s) so they (it?) aligns with the Keystone........

Glad I could help you to complete the drum!

You should get one. i have a 1960 model (with WFL P83 and Butt) and it sounds AMAZING (understatement of the year), beats my 1967 and 1978 Ludaloy Supra by lightyears....
