Attached below is page 92 from my 1967 Ludwig Catalog showing the "Clipper" rail consolette offered that year. I like your description of it as a "clock dial".

"Phone dial" is what I should have said. I just hate it when that "old age thing" starts kickin' in again (lol)!

Yes it is possible. One of my Jazzette bass drums came with the phone dial (earlier) style and then I have Downbeat kit from the same year ('67) and it has the ratcheted one. There WAS an early version of the ratcheted one, btw...It can be distinguished by the downward-angle on the cog that accepts the tom L-arm. Later versions have the same cog except with a perpendicular angle....hard to describe.

ALWAYS good to hear from you, O-Lugs. Thanks for your input. My intent was simply to see if my particular kit came with the "era-correct" consolette.
