Loading...

Hi!

I bought this "Blue Olive Padge" 6,5" Ludwig from my workmate about 10 years ago.

I have been looking from ebay, but I haven´t seen any similar snare there.

Serial number: 2128557.

10 lugs.

P-85 stainer.

No pitting at all.

Can anyone help?

Age? (70´s??, 80´s??)

Value today?

Thanks!

I don´t think Ludwig used Blue Olive padges in 90´s.

I might be wrong...

Yes they did that is a monroe North Carolina blue olive badge not a chicago blue olive badge! Here is a pic of a late 90's blue olive badge serial number 3141367 which doesn't put mine and yours very far apart!! I live close to the ludwig factory have been many times I got this badge from the factory in 2000! one thing on your drum is throwing me off the p85 strainer is a early 70's black face strainer???

Lets try it from this angle!Have you ever taken a lug off the shell? around 92 or so ludwig changed the internals of the lug, older lugs will have a spring inside, newer ones will have no spring and plastic clips to hold the inserts to the lug!

I think it's from about 83ish. Let me know if I got this one. I'm looking at the serial number and the badge and the lugs and the size and the finish and the strainer. They all point to 83ish. It's the serial number that clinches it to that timeframe. All of the other factors were in play, also. The 3mil #s didn't hit until quite a bit later.

Japi. sorry to make you go thur that but it certainly helped to date the drum positively, my good buddy Mcjnic is correct with the date and they sell in the $200.00 to $250.00 range!! they are on ebay fairly often!! do you have the entire kit?
