Ludwig Sbp Clubdates Last viewed: 30 minutes ago

I've got two clubdate pieces - a 22" sky blue pearl bass drum and the matching 13" rack tom - I'd like to move shortly to raise funds for a separate on-going project. I'm thinking $250 for the bass drum (+ship) and $150 for the rack tom (+ship). The bass drum heads seen in the pics would NOT be included in the sale, since I need them for another kit of mine.

Attached are several exterior pics of the bass drum. I'd be more than happy to forward detailed internal and external pics of "the good, the bad and the ugly" of this drum to interested parties. I'll post some external pics of the rack tom shortly.

If you've got an interest in one or both drums, please feel free to drop me a PM. Thanks!

...and here's some external pics of the matching rack tom. The bottom side head will need to be replaced on this one. Internal pics to any and all interested parties. Thanks!

Mike: My love for this particular wrap is just as strong as yours I can assure you. However, I've now got a SBP Super Classic kit as well as a SBP Downbeat kit. Otherwise these pieces would be staying "home." Perhaps they still will regardless of my two other SBP kits.

i completely understand. ive scratched my head a few times on these two drums tonight. wish i could make it make sense for my collection.

youre too humble in your ad here though gary. these are original drums and youre the original owner. i would guess that these are clubdate combos that originally came without a floor tom. think we've had that discussion before.

the bass drum is just like my galaxy clubdate 22. basically a virgin drum with the exception of the factory center disappearing cymbal mount. would have come with a factory hoop mounted clipper mount with the spade for the tom. has the wfl carryover spurs and probably has a clear maple interior i'm guessing. all of this adds to the perfect formula for a huge warm sounding bass drum.

doesnt get much better than this. the early ones like yours must have had a different wrap supplier. they tend to not fade to the light green like the later models do. yours look great. if someone did want a floor tom to complete the kit, its almost standard practice to add a 16x16 classic tom. there are also some 12x15 clubdates floating aorund as well, which would have been the configuration for that kit at the time if it was a cataloged kit. many were sold right out of the store with the 16 classic or just as the cataloged combo.

sorry for spouting out all that info. i love me some clubdates. right marko and john??Excited

I, too, am diggin the kick...as previously stated, it's virgin save for the factory disappearing cymbal arm...looks very classy!

Great wrap! Really vibrant. Good luck with your sale!
