Ludwig, Slingerland, Rogers, Gretsch -->Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc. Last viewed: 4 hours ago

This is purely for fun.....

If we were to create an analogy comparing the main American drum manufacturers to the auto companies....who would be who?

I started to make mine, but decided I would not even take a stab at it, as others are much more informed than myself.

Ludwig would be Chevy or Ford......but if so, who would be the other of the top 2? Rogers and Slingerland are pretty much gone.....perhaps Dodge/Chrysler being foreign owned now....

....and if Chevy/Ford/Dodge are the top 3, who would be the 4th in the analogy for the 4th drum maker?

Maybe I am trying too hard......but this thread could maybe be fun considering some of you will have much deeper knowledge about the history of these companies.....and some (perhaps others) a deeper knowledge of the auto makers.........

Of course the slew of more specific 'brands' of auto...Pontiac, Buick, Mercury, Cadillac, ...oh...Jeep....see this could be quite fun!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
