LOL yea I was just looking at Rogers snares and hardware on EB and they get expensive. I'd love to have another Rogers kit someday but will cost some coin to get one. Anyway hope you find something good to work with.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

I've seen some Rogers COB snares go for around $200. Check Geektar Center's used sections online...if you wanna go that route.

I have nothing against chrome snare drums and I have never had a cob snare. I just think its neat to have a matching snare drum and thats something I can achieve very easily by being able to paint professionally. Would be nice to find a Rogers wood snare drum but were talking big bucks here. I think the xp8 kits originaly had chrome snares with the kits so Im trying to do something a little off beat anyway. Off beat, get it! Ha ha ha!
