Daz, well done, are you sure it's 5x14 and not a 6.5x14? I looks from what I have in the pic the one and only supraphonic model number 400 One of the best sounding snare drums is the world, Daz heres a link for the serial numbers, but it looks to be a 1965 model http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/serial_numbers.html Daz also to make it easier on you just call me Vm2K

Daz, when you measure you'll need to measure it not with the rims on it but only the shell that would make it a 5x14, the 5x14 is model number 400 the 6.5x14 is model number 402 which is what John Bonham used, yes there would be price difference in the two drum, the model 400 which is what you have was used, by Mitch Mitchell, Kieth moon, and many many others, Daz I'm here in the US. in North Carolina, Daz if your drum has no or minimal pitting they go for no less than $250.00 and up, hey just saw the pic, that is definetly a 5x14 model 400 and with you being located in Ecuador probably $250.00 at least for this drum

Hi VM2K

Thanx for communication

Ive been in Ecuador for about 6 years, but the snare drum and the rest of my drum stuff is still in England in my dads loft near Leeds

He now needs the space so Im trying to research what Ive got as Im a bit out of touch to be truthfull

I looked into shipping it all out but would cost around $1000 !!!

I used to play about 15 years ago and bought and sold and renovated as a hobby really, but also made some good money

I had up to 15 kits at any one time!

Whenever I came across a nice drum or cymbal I liked etc I kept it for my kit, thats whats in my dads loft still !!

Yamaha 9000 shells, Ludwig snare, Dw5000, Zildjan Istanbul ride, Zildjan sizzle hats, Sabian crashes splashes etc, Yamaha hardware, hardcase cases etc

Perhaps if I get info on ride etc you could help me price up everything

Cheers

Daz

ps I was hoping snare value a bit more than what you said???
