your standard is from the 40's is there a stamp date inside the shell in block black numbers , this is an example, say 4211 or something like this? oh welcome to the forum! I may be Interested in it if your selling it! I have a 40's ludwig ludwig kit, pics enclosed!

Just curious,were the Imperial kick and tom lugs ever offered with inserts?Or were they all threaded like the original Imperials?

Your drum looks just like the 1940 WFL snare I just recieved today from a buy on ebay.I paid 150 bucks for mine clean as a whistle.But mine dosen't have the original strainer and one lug was replaced with a Sling cigar.You're into 300 easy and some geek collecters will pay a grand.I play these things in public,some people just put 'em on the shelf for bragging rights.

I had a set of long Imperial lugs with the threaded inserts in it, but I have seen the old imperials that are threaded.. I'd be afraid of ruining the lug accidentally.. Those are some of the most stunning lugs ever, though, IMO.
