What do you guys think about this snare at auction? Can't find any info on it.

Sorry about the rubout, might want to bid on it! ;)

To me, from what I can make from my phone, that looks like one of Ludwig's juvenile drums. These were intended for youngsters, not really a "toy" but not one of their upper line drums either. Cool as a collectible and conversation piece, probably not that practical as a drum to use. I saw one of these in a local antique store a while back for $100. I didn't buy it but someone eventually did and I kind of regreted passing on it.

Looks like a student model. I have a few. This one is in really great shape. Not sure what they are asking, I have picked them up for about $100 but not in such good shape.

Nice to have in the collection

Good luck on winning it.

Nice little drum.. I'm sure if it was a standard size, you could've probably bought a Pearl Free floating system and use it that way ! I've seen it done somewhere before, although it was with an "adult" model standard shell size..

For that vintage, I reckon 100 bucks would be a good addition to the flock.

Cheers

I have one of these that I got at an antique store for $15. It's currently in my mom's attic in Massachusetts.
