I have a very nice Ludwig Standard in ruby red strata.
Details:
Bass: 14x22, Serial # 17025, date April 22, 1969 (could be 1968)
Floor Tom: 16x16, Serial #17086, date April xx, 1969 (also could be 1968)
Rack Tom 1: 8x12, Serial #17075, not dated
Rack Tom 2: 9x13, Serial #17054, not dated
Condition: Overall a very nice set considering age. The interiors are pristine. Wrap is very vibrant/dark. Not faded. There are a couple of minor blemishes on every drum. Nothing major and no gouges. The wrap is tight to every shell and the seams are not lifting in any way. The lugs on all drums are nearly flawless. One of the BD tension rods does not match the others, although it is Ludwig from the same era. The chrome hoops have some very minor blemishes. The heads on the 8x12 are nearly new Ambassador's. The bass drum reso side has some life left in it, but does have some tape residue that I have not attempted to remove. All other heads will need to be replaced. The tone control for 8x12 is not attached, but will come with the drums. Both other tone controls are in place.
This is a very nice vintage set.
Please feel free to ask questions. I have attached a handful of pictures and also a link to some still photos.
Lots of dust on these drums due to high resolution camera. They look better in person!
I am located in SE Michigan (near Ann Arbor).
Price is $650 plus shipping. I do not want to deal with international shipping, so US addresses only.
