ludwig standards wow look at these!! Last viewed: 2 hours ago
YES! It IS a very nice and extremely rare nesting kit! It is wrapped both on the outside and the inside! VERY cool! I'd nab that kit in a SECOND if I had the budget....but, now the wife wants a new back porch/patio....so, guess who wins!

If someone could post the pictures from that link, it would be great to have them for historical reference.

Dead dogs like rusty fire hydrants!!!
It is a cool kit! Has anyone noticed that the snare drum is a Pearl President? Concerning the seller, he has just changed from "counterhoop" to "counterhoopvintage". He's got so much stuff for sale at incredibly over-inflated prices. Is it any wonder why much of what he has never sells?!! I wonder how much he spends just to keep re-listing every thing? Forgive my ranting about this seller!
If it doesn't sell, you're NOT charged for re-listing. This is why dudes like him keep throwing stuff on the wall 'til it sticks!!!!

One sold on the bay a year or so ago,did not bring anywhere near 1000.00.Very cool kitschy kit.Recently a teal sparkle standard went for 1200.00 on e prey,I guess you never know.
ULTRA RARE KIT!
I always troll the Ludwig Standard stuff on eBay and saw these over the weekend. I downloaded ALL the pix, since I figured it would be the only time I EVER saw this super duper rare kit in this condition. I've only seen one before in very poor condition and incomplete.
If I liked these shallow timbale like things I would be all over it (after I figured out how to get another drum set in the house without my better half making me into a eunuch).
