I sure am glad I got my set of S-300's before they start to get as hard to buy as a Gretch set with an 18" bass drum! Granted, the lemon version will squeeze more from a buyer than my meager blues, but I hope I get pulled up in the vacuum this sale might create. ;)

Those are worth half that much, if that. But I know - it only takes one sucker...:)

Wow!

It's a shame what drugs can do to someone.

I wish though, I have that same set, plus a matching 13" and a 16"

I am surprised there is no Bonham or Ringo reference.

WOW!I recently spent slightly over $1000 for a nice Red Strata with hardware package and that was a bit high.BB,this is even above myoverspending. Also see a set of Ludwig Copper, late 50's timbales for over $900.I'm sure Mine are just as nice(very nice,as a matter of fact) and the price was around $200.The good thing is it does appear the market is turning around as to the worth of my collection.Maybe my children and grandchildren will benefit from my "obsession"(as my wife calls it).sellers market?

Ludwig collection of sets and pioneer snare drums.
Example of Rogers,Slingerland,Gretsch,Premier and Ajax sets.
Various '60's and '70's US,English and Japanese snare drums.
