Ludwig Tom Holder Tube diameter? Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Loading...

I just got a Ludwig double tom holder as a throw in with an Atlas cymbal stand. It is missing the two L-arms, but everything else is present.

When I eventually get my Blue Mist Ludwig Standard kit like I had when I was a kid (notice I say "When" not "If"!), I thought about using a double tom holder with it (if the kit comes with a single tom holder). Anyway, the tube diameter seems bigger than what I remember. This has a very long downtube (19.5") with the "keyhole" memory clamp. The downtube diameter is 15/16". (Photos Below)

Both photos are from the ebay auction, and both tubes fit into the Atlas base.

Was this possibly for a tom stand and not for use on a bass drum? Does anyone know what the tube diameter is for the tom holder (single or double) on Standard kits?

Thanks,

V

The tube diameter was smaller for the Standard series. The tube you have is for Classics and vistalites. The L arms will work for the toms but wont fit the bass drum mount.
