$1499. This is the best sounding Ludwig kit I have ever played. The planets aligned properly when this kit was made in 1958. The kit was originally a five piece Hollywood with twin 12 inch toms. The original owner says that one of the 12 inch toms was stolen years ago. So the sizes are 14x22, 8x12, 16x16 and matching 5x14 Jazz Festival snare. Each and every drum in this set sounds amazing. If I had to choose just one however, I would say that the floor tom is simply beyond amazing. But then again, so is the snare, and the rack and the bass drum . . . . .. The sky blue pearl is original and has faded to a mellow blue/grayish hue. There is some nicks here and there. The worst is a cigarette stain on the bass drum. The floor tom legs are original but have aftermarket "feet." I do not feel like I have done this kit justice in my description. It is amazing.

Got to agree till 63 the best drums period
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Why are selling it? I would think you would want to keep the best sounding Ludwig kit you have ever played and it's beautiful to boot.

Because I have a drum addiction. I recently purchased 10 kits and am suddenly needing to move some stuff. I want to keep this kit, but also realize that it has good value and it would be prudent of me to do so.

I have noticed you've been buying like crazy but we all have at some point. This is a good deal for someone.

A drum addiction can be fun, but very costly. I've known a few guys who wound up getting divorced, not solely because of that, but I'm sure it contributed to the breakup. Good luck on your sale, that's one gorgeous kit.

Do you know a good divorce attorney? 😎 Just jokes. All good on that front. I'm extremely cautious about purchases and frankly lack the nads to make the big scores. I am the king of the underdog kit.
I know what you mean...my main kit is a '58 Ludwig and they sound fantastic! Best of luck with the sale.
