Ludwig transition to plastic mirror chrome wrap Last viewed: 8 minutes ago

Loading...

Does anybody know when ludwig transitioned to the plastic based "mirror chrome" wrap from the original chromed steel wraps?

They are six ply with clear maple interior with keystone monroe badges and serials in the 318xxxx range.

Did lugwig ever offer a kit with 3 toms?.....can't seem to find a picture.

You have a question about vintage Ludwigs and a transition period between wraps. How is this not a vintage drum question? Some of the Luddy experts should be chiming in shortly.

Sold the entire lot without ever finding out the exact year ludwig went from the chrome plated steel wrap to the plastic based mirror chrome.

If anybody happens to know, it might help someone else who finds this topic in the future.
