Well, drums are gone again, got my Ludwig gold sparkle kit back with a Slingerland snare added in on the deal.

It's a really down market on Vistas from what I see, and even though the floor tom's out of the ordinary with this set, it's still a clear kit. Folks seem to still be biting on the Tivolis and some other patterns, but the solids are stagnant.
1982 Ludwig Classic in white Cortex, 24-13-14-18 + Coliseum snare
For quieter gigs:
Early '70s Whitehall Tiger Eye Pearl 20-12-14-14
Neglected but thinking about:
Early '70s Sonor Champions in Rosewood, 22-12-13-16
Thanks for posting the selling price! If everyone would get on board with this practice this forum could develop a nice way to put a market value on vintage kits, to compliment it's other strong points.

Yes, but unfortunately the deal fell through, don't want to go into the nasty details.
But, the good news is that I finally had a chance to really play them right after this happened and you know what, I'm glad it happened, I love the sound. Who would have thought a guy like me who loves the Ludwig 3ply shells could also love the sound of plastic tubs. Vistalite drums absolutely ROCK!
